Professional Biography

Ralyn is an intuitive integrative bodyworker.  She is a nationally board-certified reflexologist, craniosacral reflexologist, nurturing massage therapist, deep tissue therapist, aromatherapist and Reiki Master.  Ralyn dynamically applies a professional lifetime of bodywork studies to create treatments tailored for her clients’ needs and goals.

She works with repetitive strain injuries, muscle pain and tension, as well as structural, nervous system and hormonal issues at a pace that works best for each individual wherever they happen to be in their process. Ralyn’s multiple modalities help people achieve their goals, whether someone is seeking relaxation, stress reduction, muscle release, injury treatment or trauma recovery.

She has a passion for assisting clients in finding their highest and best selves by listening to their body, mind and spirit. She is highly intuitive in her work and promotes balance and self-healing.  Focused on releasing tension, stress, and old patterns from psychosomatic trauma, Ralyn helps guide clients to find freedom within themselves.  Each human has a unique nervous system. The flow between the body and brain and honoring that system is key to healing on all levels.

“I believe true healing begins deep within and we must find the root cause of imbalance, meet clients where they are at any given time and assist them on their journey to discover their highest and best selves. Our bodies and feet have many stories to share and if we listen and honor those stories, release anything that keeps us from being our highest selves, miracles and magic can happen.”

Educational and Experiential Background

After graduating with a BSE in Therapeutic Recreation from the State University of New York, Cortland, Ralyn worked at a large metropolitan medical center in NYC as part of a research team.  After healing from an injury in 1992, and receiving alternative methods of treatment, Ralyn studied massage therapy at the Swedish Institute of Massage in New York City and graduated in 1993. She is licensed and board certified in therapeutic massage and bodywork (BCTMB). She then went on to study Reflexology and became a Nationally Board Certified Reflexologist in 1994 through the American Reflexology Certification Board. It was then that she fell in love with the power to help people heal themselves through the feet. Alternative modalities are a powerful tool to enhance the body’s innate ability to heal.

As an avid life-long learner she has continued to study with over 1500 hours of continuing education. Some of these include: Orthopedic Massage, Myofascial Therapy, Therapeutic Touch, Chi Reflexology, Polarity Reflexology, Craniosacral Reflexology, Emotional Reflexology, Orthopedic Reflexology, Jade Stone Face Reflexology, Stone Massage, Ayurvedic bodywork, Watsu, Metamorphosis- a gentle and profoundly powerful modality, Hydromassage, Auriculotherapy, neuroscientific research and the brain. She has studied Upledger Craniosacral and Visionary Craniosacral for humans, horses and dogs. She is also a level 1 Qi-Gong instructor. As Ralyn continues to study, she is passionate about interpersonal neurobiology, multi-vagal system, research and reflexology, head-heart and gut-brain connections.

In 1996 Ralyn moved to Tucson AZ where she worked at Canyon Ranch, one of the world’s premier destination health resorts for twelve years, nine years in Tucson and three years in Lenox, Massachusetts. I loved being a part of company that worked with each individual’s body, mind and spirit to assist them in reaching their health and wellness goals. During those years, she was able to do many different types of bodywork based on individual needs. She has worked at amazing healing centers and spas for over 25 years in the northeast and the southwest USA.

CranioSacral Reflexology is her latest passion. It was founded by Dr. Martine Faure-Alderson. It is a fusion of Cranial Osteopathy, Craniosacral Therapy and Reflexology.  This work combines the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual intertwined in one session.  As Martine says, “it is impossible to treat one aspect without considering the others”.  Ralyn is humbled and honored to do this work.
