Maya Burnett, Licensed Massage Therapist

Maya specializes in integrating the practice and principles of nurturing massage therapy, deep tissue massage, Ortho-Bionomy and energy work, to help relieve physical pain, stress and trauma for her clients. Maya listens to her client’s bodies with a compassionate and curious presence allowing them to release what they are ready to let go of without ever forcing change.

Her clear understanding of the musculoskeletal system enables her to address specific muscle groups involved in structural patterns. Maya also values the calming and nurturing aspects of massage, facilitating a deeper integration of the treatment.  She has over a decade of experience working in Spa settings providing Swedish to Deep Tissue/Sports Massage.  She also has years of practice treating medical conditions prior to joining Mountain Spirit. Maya’s intuitive approach in her treatments insures that each session is tailored to her client's specific needs. She is passionate about working to help her clients achieve ease, comfort and balance in their bodies and lives.

Maya grew up in southern France near the Mediterranean Sea.  In 2000, she moved to the United States to study massage therapy at the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts. Following her training in massage therapy, Maya completed over 1000 hours of post-graduate training in the practice of Ortho-Bionomy.
