Jessica Lujan, MSN, APRN-CNP

Jessica Lujan is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner licensed to practice independently here in beautiful New Mexico. As a Primary Care Provider, she works in partnership with you to achieve your health goals. She cares for all ages from infant and pediatric wellness checks, to managing chronic diseases in adolescents, adults, and seniors. Jessica is capable to assist with emotional and mental health support such as managing depression, anxiety, and providing episodic care as needed. She also offers women’s health and family planning care including some gynecological services, preconception support, contraception, and more. As her practice develops here, she plans on implementing a variety of additional services and procedures to meet the needs of our patient community.

Here at Mountain Spirit, we take a holistic approach. Our Family Nurse Practitioners listen mindfully to you, your medical symptoms and needs, while reserving time to ensure they are addressed. Jessica is skilled in a variety of procedures available right here in our comfortable treatment rooms. The labwork, imaging, treatments, and referrals she recommends are based on scientific evidence for the prevention and treatment of disease. We have found the services our patients receive are most successful when it is understood why they’re being recommended, and chosen based on your own values.

Jessica's care is both patient and family centered, with the ability to modify based on your feedback. She encourages patients to research their own specific conditions, and as your healthcare partner she will help educate you. It’s also her job to explain the expected outcome and possible complications that might arise, so you’re able to make informed decisions.

"I searched extensively to find the right clinic, and I’m delighted to begin my Family Practice here at Mountain Spirit Integrative Medicine. Together we work from the big picture, offering a wide array of treatment options. The combination of modern, scientific, traditional, and natural medicines available here gives patients a holistic approach so many are seeking in their wellness journey. Our patients are welcome to take equal ownership of their health by participating in their own wellness plan.”

Pediatric Medical Care: Jessica provides care for children ages 1 year and over.  She enjoys working with whole families and respects parents’ choices regarding their family health and wellness.  This includes decisions related to medications, vaccinations, and other health matters.  She is also a resource for objective information regarding routinely recommended vaccination schedules, including education regarding safe vaccination methods/preparations.  However, presently we do not offer vaccinations of any kind on-site at Mountain Spirit, because we are a relatively small practice and quality vaccines expire quickly.  Therefore, we refer to pharmacies and health department offices that offer vaccines on-site.

To maintain our peaceful environment for Mountain Spirit patients seeking a variety of care, parents are welcome to bring up to 2 of their children at a time, for any pediatric or family health visit. Do you have any other questions regarding our Pediatric Medical Care?  Feel free to call us anytime.  We’re happy to help!

“Let’s work together to help you enjoy your best self!"

--Jessica Lujan, Family Nurse Practitioner

Jessica's journey as a healthcare provider began in 2011 while working as a Registered Nurse in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma Center. Her experiences there motivated her to complete my Bachelors in Science and Nursing by 2013.  At Presbyterian Hospital’s large Emergency Department, she soon became a Clinical Practice Leader as a Charge Nurse. These experiences informed the importance of primary care medicine to prevent many conditions from becoming life-threatening, which in turn inspired her to become a Family Nurse Practitioner.  While pursuing her post-graduate nursing degree, she continued to care for patients as an RN, first in the emergency department and then most recently as a nursing supervisor; this has allowed her to improve processes as needed to best serve hospital patients.  Jessica brings her breadth of experience improving medical services to her work here at Mountain Spirit.
